Annual Penguin Plunge
February each year, 12:00pm
Each year, raising money for the Special Olympics. Over $1 million in the past six years, "Plungers" dawn their costumes in the middle of the winter, and "Plunge" into the freezing cold water of the Atlantic Ocean. Each year has a different theme for the costumes. Initially only 150 Plungers participated, now the Penguin Plunge draws over 800 Plungers. Fun to watch, and a great way to get out for the day. The 2nd Annual Hampton Beach Volleyball tournament "Presented by Hampton Beach Village District and the Hampton Park & Recreation Dept."

To be held Labor Day weekend Saturday Sept. 2nd Womens Divisions and Sunday Sept. 3rd Mens divisions Start times 10 AM. There will be both a womens and men's AA & A divisions. The tournament will take place on Hampton beach south of the Seashell Complex between G St. and M St. $30 entry fee - every player gets a Tournament T-shirt. Beverage refreshments provided by Coke Cola. AA Divisions 1st Place $300 cash 2nd place $200 cash 3rd place $100 cash. A Divisions 1st place $200 Gift Certificates, 2nd place $150 Gift Certificates 3rd place Gift Certificates. Trophy goes to the best beach business team. Fireworks Sunday Sept. 3rd at 9:30 PM
